The RRB Group D Exam is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) to recruit candidates for various Group D positions in the Indian Railways. Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: 18-36 years (as of July 1, 2025). Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories.
- Educational Qualification: Class 10 pass OR ITI from institutions recognized by NCVT/SCVT OR equivalent qualifications.
Application Fee
- General/OBC: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after appearing in CBT)
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Female Candidates: ₹250 (Fully refunded after appearing in CBT)
Selection Process
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT):
- General Science

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Male: Lift 35kg weight for 2 minutes and run 100 meters in 2 minutes.
- Female: Lift 20kg weight for 2 minutes and run 100 meters in 2 minutes.
3. Document Verification & Medical Examination
Exam Pattern
Computer-Based Test (CBT):
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Total Questions: 100 (Objective type, multiple choice)
- Mathematics: 25 questions
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 questions
- General Science: 25 questions
- General Awareness & Current Affairs: 20 questions
Marking Scheme:
- 1 mark for each correct answer.
- Negative marking: 1/3 marks deducted for every incorrect answer.
